Chief Nursing Officer
Stephanie Stratton joined Frankfort Regional Medical Center as Chief Nursing Officer in October 2021. She most recently served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at CJW Medical Center-Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. During her tenure at Johnston Willis, she led a facility team to stand up a COVID vaccine clinic, served as the executive sponsor for the dialysis in-hospital conversion, developed and instituted a tech recognition program, and provided oversight for the Daisy Recognition Program. Stratton also served as the interim CNO, leading initiatives to significantly reduce Foley and line days, improve care experience scores, and reduce turnover.
Stratton began her career at Frankfort Regional Medical Center as an obstetric scrub technician. After obtaining her Associates Degree in Nursing, she transitioned into a Registered Nurse position on the Center for Women’s Health unit. Stratton progressed into leadership roles on the Center for Women’s Health, including Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Educator, Clinical Coordinator, and eventually as the Director for the Center for Women’s Health and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As Director, she improved and sustained employee engagement, led perinatal initiatives to improve maternal and newborn safety and outcomes, and implemented change processes to improve workflow. Stratton also served as the Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Director of the 4th Floor at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Stratton earned an Associate’s Degree in nursing from Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in nursing from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. Stratton holds her nurse executive board certification and inpatient obstetric nursing certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
